Once the film is loaded and placed in the ad cover you may turn the lights back on. After that you pour the developer into the film and make sure that there's no bubbles on it, after about a minute you pour acetic acid on it for 30 seconds so that the development would stop. Than you put water on it for 5 minutes and you, to take all the marks and white spots off pour hypo eliminator for 2 minutes. Wash it one last time for 5 other minutes, take them out of the tank and make sure not to touch the negative. Place them in a area where there's no dust. Repetition

On this photo the giraffes skin is being repeated, the white lines is what guides you through the patterns.
A 27-day-old female Reticulated Giraffe stands beside her mother at Kanazawa Zoological Park in Yokohama, Japan.

The T.V's are whats being repeated, the screens are all the same. The thing that guides you through the frame is the white part of the plain.
Lisa Simpson appears on television screens on a new Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 after its inaugural passenger flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia.

The people in the green and the people in the wheel chairs is whats being repeated. The thing that guides you through the frame of this picture is the people on the side without the handicap people.
Guests in wheelchairs are assisted into the Shanghai World Expo.

American Soldier slideshow and captions

A. I chose this as the most powerful picture because it shows you what the soldiers go through and what so much stress can lead to over the counter drugs and smoking.
B. I think that the most powerful slide show is the "army blues" because it shows the stress that the soldiers and also their families go through.
C. The slide shows work together to tell a story by going in order from when they sign up into the army up until when they go back home. It also has pictures that show their feelings.

A. The verbs are usually used from his point of view, and are in past tense.
B. The captions enhance the pictures because they are talking about what is actually happening in the picture. And they also tell you the actual date that they were taken.

John is in the army, he has to go to sleep early and wake up early he has pretty much gotten used to it now.

John just got back from his assignment both him and his girlfriend Julie are happy that they get to be together again.

Who said that John and his army friends cant have fun during their free time, we think its never to late to grow up.

A. The videos show the same things as the pictures except he is talking and telling us how he really felt.
B. The videos are better than the pictures because you can actually see how he is feeling and it tells us how the army really is. Also the videos have pictures and it have voice added to it so it helps us understand better.
C. The pictures are better than the videos because they have captions and if you don't understand whats happening in the video you can go back and read the captions.

Iraq Slide Show - Extra Credit

-I chose this picture for background because it has a plain black background. Also there's nothing else going on but the lady's face, and we can clearly understand whats going on and what his main purpose of the picture is. He took the picture from the front of the lady, that way we can see what face expression she is making.
-I think that i chose this picture because you can clearly understand what's going on and the main thing that he took this picture. I liked that he decided to put a plain black background. And that he didn't crop anything out or put anything else on there. But i do think that it would of made it better if he would not had so much black space at the top.

-I chose this picture for creating depth because you can see that the desk, the persons, and the room have depth. One of the men is bigger than the other. The one that is standing seems to be smaller than the one sitting down so that's another way he created depth.
-I chose this picture for creating depth. There might be more photos that fit that rule but i liked this one the most. You can see where a 3-Dimensional item and also it has a pretty noticeable depth on the desk and on the two man. The shadows also help you see that there's depth.

Marlboro Marine

1)
    A. What skills besides photography did Luis Sinco utilize to produce this slideshow?
He used audio, him and another guy talked through out the presentation. Also he put some words in the presentation and he had good spelling. Also as the words passed he gave us enough time to read the whole thing.

    B. What was the effect (added power or meaning) of the multimedia effects of the slideshow?
I think that it was trying to show us what the war does to the people that take part in it. Also that they don't have fun shooting and killing other people. The war makes them change their personality. It may also even give them thoughts of suicide. Another thing that it may change the kind of people you talk to. Like him after he got back from the war he had a total different type of friends.

2)
    A. What is the most powerful image from the slideshow? Why?
To me the most powerful image in the slideshow was the one where the other soldiers were in the ground and the other soldiers were just walking past them like if they were nothing.

    B. What sequence of photographs is the most powerful? Why?
The sequence of photographs  that was the most powerful was where he was talking about how he had new friends, and that none of the friends he had before he went to war didn't talk to him. Because he changed a lot.

     C. How does the audio enhance the photographs?
The audio enhanced the photographs because the pictures that came up he would be talking about that subject. And he would describe what was happening.

    D. How do the images work together to tell a story?
They all happened in order of how the story was happening. Also as he talked he would describe it. And the pictures were in sequential order.

Austin American Statesmen

I chose this picture because i like the way that they are all lined up and how they are all smiling. Also because they are all doing the same thing they call the attention.

http://photoblog.statesman.com/2010/07
I chose this video because its interesting and it tells why they have so many flavors and it shows a part of how they make the flavors.

Contests Preview, Show And Tell

Honorable Mention Advanced Landscape
The lighting in this photo is great, its not to dark or to bright. The view is at a good angle and you can see whats happening. The main thing that called my attention was the piece of ice on the ground. It has a heart shape. Also you can see that its late because of the horizon.

Great Black And White Photographers Part 3

The Thing That Caught My Eye Was The Flower. It Has A Good View, The Flower Looks Beautiful. There Was A Lot Of Pictures Of Flowers But The Reason That I Chose This One Was Because Its Not Of The Ground Or In A Base Like Most Flower Pictures, And It Has A Great View Of The Flower.
-I See That He Has A Main Focus On This Picture, The Flower. Its Background It Appears To Be Smooth Wood And On The Top Its Black. Its Kinda Plain And Doesn't Keep Out Eye Off The Main Focus, The Flower Which Is A Good Thing.
-I Smell Freshly Made Wood, Being Used As A Background. The Flower Recently Cut Off Its Stem. The Thorns In The Garden Laying On The Floor.
-I Hear The Birds In The Sky Singing Happily. The Wood Chopper Being Turned Off. And The Sound Of Little Kids Laughing And Playing In The Garden Where This Rose Was Cut Off Gently.
-I Taste The The Left Over Pieces Of The Wood Flying Through The Air, Going In My Mouth. And The Dirt In The Air, Its Mixed Together.
-I Feel The Rose Thorns In The Flower As I Cut Them Off The Beautiful Rose, The Rose Petals In My Hands As I Try To Find The Perfect Flower. The Soft Wood That Is Used As A Background.

By The Looks Of Both Of The Pictures I Chose I See That He Is Into Nature. He Picks Good Views. The Mountains Look Smooth, So Do The Clouds. The Thing That Mainly Caught My Eye About This Picture Is The Huge Clouds In The Sky.
-I See That There Are Some Big Mountains And Also The Clouds Are Huge. In Order To Fit All Of This In There This Picture Had To Be Taken Far Away. It Looks Like There Was Snow, Lots Of Snow. Also I See The Wind Blowing, And The Snow Coming Down From The Mountain Slowly.
-I Smell The Grass As The Air Blows It Away. A Weird Wet, But At The Same Time Dry Kinda Smell Of The Dirt.
-I Hear The Wind Going Through My Ears. The Small Animals Taking Steps. Snow Falling From The Mountain Into The Ground.
-I Taste The Snow As It Melts Slowly. The Tiny Pieces Of Grass That's Being Blown By The Air And On Into My Mouth.
-I Feel The Cold Snow As It Turns Into Water. The Wet And The Dry Dirt. The Beautiful Flowers In The Ground And The Grass.

  • I Think That We Should Make A Blog Talking About More Of This Photographers Pictures. Where People Can Tell What They Think About Him And His Pictures.

Academics Preview

The Story
I Chose This Picture For The Best Story, Because The Little Girl Looks Like She Is Not In
A Good Condition. So The Guy Decides To Help Her. He Looks Like He Has Good Intentions On Helping Her.

Action and Emotion
This Picture Fits For Emotion, Because The Boy Reading The Book Out loud Looks Like He Cares About The Other Little Kids Future. The Little Kids Are Paying Attention To Him. Also They Are Sitting Down, Not Standing And Wondering Around.
I Chose This Picture For Action, Because The People In The Background Look Like They Are Busy. They Look Like They Are Working Hard And So Does The Teacher.

Filling The Frame
I Chose This Picture For Filling The Frame, Because It Has A Detailed Background. Theres Also A Lot Of Color To It. And The Guy Looks Like He Is Concentrated On What He Is Doing.
